The Instituto de Investigaciones Filosóficas, through the Coordinación de Humanidades, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) offers postdoctoral research fellowships. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to:

1. carry out their proposed research, and publish some of its results;
2. work full time in the research project;
3. participate in the academic activities of the Institute, as well as in group research projects;
4. teach at least one course during the year of the fellowship and supervise the work of undergraduates and graduates

Knowledge of Spanish is not required, but successful non-Spanish speaking applicants will be expected to learn the language during their stay.
UNAM offers fellowships twice a year:

• Period I: for fellowships starting in September 1, 2010, the deadline is May 14, 2010.
• Period II: for fellowships starting in March 1, 2011, the deadline is October 08, 2010.
