Resumen: Algunas de las masculinidades más radicales de internet se engloban en la manosfera, el conglomerado de movimientos e identidades tales como los incels (célibes involuntarios) o los MGTOW (men going their own way). La manosfera se caracteriza por simpatizar con la derecha alternativa, con ideas antifeministas, racistas y, en general, discriminatorias, pero aún no se ha estudiado en profundidad. Este trabajo pretende ser una contribución desde la filosofía de la ciencia a los estudios de este tipo de masculinidades. Para ello, me centraré en la red pill y sus teorías de seducción, puesto que sus seguidores afirman basarlas en la ciencia. Mi objetivo será analizar el papel que juegan en estas teorías el esencialismo biológico y la psicología evolucionista, además de explorar cómo son nocivas tanto para ellos como para los demás.

Abstract: Some of the most radical online masculinites are included in the manosphere, the movements and identities conglomerate that includes incels (involuntary celibates) or MGTOW (men going their own way). Manosphere is characterised by its sympathy with the alt-right and by its antifeminist, racist and, in general, discriminatory ideas, but it has not been studied in deep. This work aims to be a contribution from the philosophy of science to the studies of these types of masculinities. To do that, I will focus on the red pill and its seduction theory, since their followers maintain that they are science-based. My goal will be to analyse the role biological essentialism and evolutionary psychology play in these theories, as well as how harmful they are to their followers and others.
