Con el objetivo de refutar al realismo moral, Ben Fraser & Marc Hauser defienden la existencia de un desacuerdo fundamental entre un grupo de mayas y otro de occidentales respecto al principio de la acción.  Sin embargo, su caso sufre de dos problemas importantes. En primer lugar, no muestran que los participantes en el desacuerdo hayan razonado adecuadamente sobre la posición moral respecto a la que divergen. Además, la ausencia de intuiciones morales favorables al principio de la acción por parte de los mayas requiere de una explicación: y ninguna de las posibles es compatible con los objetivos argumentales de Fraser & Hauser. El principal objetivo de este trabajo es exponer ambos problemas y mostrar como, aunque existe una posible salida para el primero de ellos, el segundo es fatal para el proyecto de estos autores. De manera accesoria, también se generalizarán parte de las objeciones presentadas a Fraser & Hauser, con el fin de sugerir hacia dónde debería dirigirse el debate sobre la existencia de desacuerdo fundamentales en el futuro. 

Abstract: Aiming to refute moral realism, Ben Fraser & Marc Hauser argue for the existence of a fundamental disagreement between a group of Mayans and a group of Westerners regarding the principle of action.  However, their case suffers from two major problems. First, they do not show that the participants in the disagreement have adequately reasoned about the moral position from which they diverge. Moreover, the absence of moral intuitions favorable to the action principle on the part of the Maya requires an explanation: and none of the possible ones is compatible with Fraser & Hauser's argumentative goals. The main purpose of this paper is to expose both problems and to show how, although there is a possible way out of the former, the latter is fatal to the project of these authors. In an incidental way, part of the objections raised to Fraser & Hauser will also be generalized, in order to suggest where the debate on the existence of fundamental disagreement should be directed in the future.
